About the role
BI Worldwide is committed to building an inclusive, collaborative, and authentic workplace. As Application Manager – Internal Systems, you play a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring the reliability, security, and evolution of BI Worldwide’s core internal data and communication platforms.
This is not a customer-facing position, but it is essential to the stability and modernization of the company’s internal data movement, transformation, and messaging infrastructure.
What you will do
- Own the lifecycle management of internal systems, including ADC, Informatica PowerCenter, Strongmail (email), and Sinch (SMS)
- Ensure 24/7 availability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and rapid issue resolution
- Lead evaluation, planning, and adoption of future data integration and ETL platforms, including cloud migration initiatives
- Oversee secure, compliant, and efficient data movement across internal systems
- Design and govern integrations using APIs, ETL pipelines, and messaging queues
- Ensure reliable delivery of batch and transactional email and SMS communications
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and CTIA
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requirements
- Provide technical leadership and direction to engineering teams
- Translate business needs into system enhancements and technical requirements
What you bring
- 10+ years of business and technical project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience writing test plans and managing application testing
- High level of ownership, accountability, and self-direction
Technical expertise
- Databases and platforms: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Java-based web applications, Tomcat, Linux
- Programming: Java, JavaScript, Python
- DevOps and tooling: GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform
- Cloud: AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS, IAM, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, networking, security)
- Integrations: REST APIs, ETL processes, messaging systems, automation
- Architecture: Microservices and infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Security: RBAC, compliance, and access control best practices
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary range: $95,000 – $105,000, depending on experience and skills
