The Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the day-to-day operations of our regulated e-money business. This role is suited to someone with prior experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally within an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), who enjoys solving operational problems and improving how a regulated business runs.
You will work closely with operational teams and senior external and internal stakeholders, including the COO, providing data-driven insights and delivering practical, business-focused improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business-as-usual operations of the Irish EMI, ensuring processes operate effectively and in line with regulatory expectations
- Analyse operational and customer data to identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Provide data analysis, reporting, and business insights to support the COO and senior management
- Deliver operational project - customer impact reviews and remediation activities
- Perform root cause analysis, identify lessons learned, and design proportionate process improvements
- Support monitoring of operational KPIs, service levels, and performance metrics
- Prepare management reports, presentations, and analysis using Excel and PowerPoint
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Customer Service, IT, and Product teams
- Support audit, regulatory, and assurance activities by producing operational evidence and analysis
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in a regulated financial services environment (essential)
- Prior experience working within an EMI, payments, or fintech environment (strongly preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with evidence of delivering operational improvements
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting small-scale operational or process improvement projects
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to analyse business issues, determine root cause, and design practical solutions
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously
