Company Structure
EML is an ASX listed company head quartered in Brisbane and trading on the Australian stock exchange. This role is a key member of the Global Risk and Compliance function
This role conducts and carries out regulatory compliance activities on behalf of EML Group across different regulatory regions. Delivers and shapes a high-quality regulatory framework, helping the organisation stay ahead of an evolving regulatory landscape.
The Role:
- Support the timely and accurate production of regulatory reports by liaising with internal teams, delegated service providers, and external reporting partners.
- Maintain strong operational oversight of delegated reporting reconciliations, including pairing and matching processes, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of submitted data.
- Perform and drive robust data quality checks, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and control weaknesses within reporting datasets.
- Identify anomalies, trends, and recurring issues within regulatory reporting data.
- Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance teams to resolve reporting issues efficiently and in accordance with regulatory expectations.
- Act as a key operational point of contact for internal and external reporting stakeholders, including technology teams, vendors, and outsourced providers.
- Track and manage reporting enhancements and remediation actions, ensuring clear ownership, progress monitoring, and delivery in line with agreed timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across EML’s regulatory reporting processes, with a focus on strengthening data quality, operational resilience, and control effectiveness.
- Ensure regulatory reporting activities are performed in accordance with documented procedures, internal standards, and governance requirements.
What you’ll bring:
- Flexible approach towards changing work methods, deadlines and variable workloads
- Regulatory compliance/ finance/risk experience essential.
- Advanced level of IT skills notably MS office / Atlassian tools(e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Business / Finance/ numerate degree with 5+ years industry experience.
- Capability to coordinate and communicate with external parties
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience performing detailed and complex data analysis; exposure to, SQL, and/or business intelligence reporting tools is a plus.
- Extensive regulatory reporting experience
- Previous experience with third-party Governance vendors advantage but, not essential.
- Recognised professional compliance qualification e.g. ICA, CAMS
