We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to play a critical role as part of our Integration Management Office (IMO) and as part of the wider group Transformation team, supporting a major M&A initiative., This person will partner with a Programme Manager counterpart to support and coordinate integration activity during M&A, ensuring delivery against strategic priorities, timelines, value creation plans and business outcomes.
This is a key role within a fast-paced, ambitious and growing fintech environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Integration Lead, senior stakeholders, functional workstream owners and the Programme Manager counterpart to ensure the integration is well planned, well governed and delivered with pace. The initial focus and priority will be on integration. As the integration process matures, there will be a natural pathway for this role to focus on wider group strategic programme management within the Transformation Team, delivering headline, cross-function and cross- jurisdiction value creation initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who has operated in complex transformation, change or M&A environments and is comfortable balancing structure with pragmatism. They will need to be highly organised, commercially aware and confident working across cultures, functions and seniority levels.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Governance
- Support the planning, mobilisation and execution of integration activity across the full acquisition lifecycle, from pre-close planning through to post-close delivery.
- Operate and maintain programme governance, including plans, reporting rhythms, risk and issue management, dependency tracking and decision-making forums.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and progress against agreed milestones.
- Maintain detailed integration plans, action logs, RAID logs and programme documentation.
- Prepare high-quality reporting, steering committee materials, status updates and executive summaries.
- Track progress against integration objectives, timelines, risks, dependencies and value creation priorities.
- Ensure the Integration Lead and wider group leadership has clear visibility of progress, blockers, decisions required and areas requiring escalation.
Integration Delivery
- Coordinate and drive delivery of integration initiatives across key business functions, including Technology, Operations, People, Finance, Commercial, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Customer teams.
- Work with functional leads to ensure integration activity is delivered on time, within scope and with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Manage interdependencies between workstreams and ensure risks, decisions and blockers are addressed quickly.
- Support synergy tracking, value creation initiatives and benefits realisation where applicable.
- Help translate integration strategy into practical, sequenced delivery plans.
- Ensure local Italian business considerations are understood and reflected in the wider integration programme.
Change & Transformation
- Support and coordinate change projects related to the integration, acting as a key communications conduit between managers and teams of the integrating businesses.
- Partner with business leaders to drive adoption of new processes, operating models, systems and ways of working.
- Identify organisational impacts and support plans to manage change effectively.
- Contribute to clear communication and engagement across both the acquired and acquiring organisations.
- Help maintain pace, focus and alignment through periods of ambiguity and change.
Systems & Technology Implementation
- Coordinate technology and systems integration activity across relevant business areas.
- Partner with technology teams, vendors and business stakeholders to support systems implementation, migration and adoption.
- Ensure systems-related milestones, dependencies, risks and decisions are captured within the wider integration plan.
- Support delivery of new or integrated platforms, tools and processes across the acquired business.
- Bring practical experience of managing complex systems implementation activity within transformation or integration programmes.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Italy and the wider organisation.
- Act as a trusted delivery partner to the Integration Lead and functional workstream owners.
- Work closely with the Programme Manager counterpart to ensure alignment, consistency and effective coordination across the wider integration programme.
- Facilitate workshops, working groups, governance meetings and decision-making forums.
- Communicate clearly and confidently in both Italian and English.
- Influence outcomes without always having direct authority.
🔹 Skills & Experience
Essencial
- Significant experience in programme management, transformation, M&A integration management and PMO roles.
- Experience delivering complex change programmes, integration activity or large-scale transformation projects.
- Previous experience supporting M&A integrations, acquisitions, carve-outs or post-merger integration programmes.
- Experience working within an Integration Management Office or formal integration governance structure.
- Proven experience working across multiple workstreams, functions and stakeholder groups.
- Strong systems implementation experience, ideally including enterprise, operational, finance, CRM, HRIS or similar business-critical platforms.
- Excellent programme planning, governance, reporting and risk management skills.
- Experience managing RAID logs, dependencies, executive reporting and programme governance forums.
- Experience operating in an international, cross-cultural environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities.
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken. Spanish & Polish an advantage though not essential
- Based in, or able to work regularly from, Milan.
