About This Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to own the product roadmap for Plum — from defining what gets built to ensuring it ships and lands well with customers. You'll sit at the intersection of technology, design, sales, and customer care, and be responsible for the full lifecycle of product features: discovery, prioritisation, development, and launch.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with 2–5 years of product management experience in a product company, who is comfortable working across both technical and business contexts.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and maintain the product roadmap, balancing customer needs, business value, and development capacity
- Develop business cases for new features, including feasibility analysis, addressable market, SWOT assessment, and estimated costs
- Research competitive offerings in the market and use insights to inform prioritisation decisions
Discovery & Requirements
- Engage with customers regularly to surface problems, validate assumptions, and translate findings into product direction
- Write clear functional, technical, and design specifications that development and design teams can act on
- Work through ambiguity and make prioritisation calls with incomplete information
Delivery & Launch
- Drive features through development, coordinating across engineering, design, and QA to keep work unblocked
- Define launch plans and success criteria for new features
- Track adoption post-launch and respond to bugs or gaps in collaboration with the relevant teams
API & Technical Collaboration
- Partner with engineering to define and review API contracts, ensuring product requirements translate accurately into technical specifications
- Evaluate API capabilities and constraints as an input to roadmap and integration decisions
Sales Enablement
- Help articulate the value proposition of your product areas for the sales team
- Contribute to and review sales documentation that supports the selling process
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of product management experience in a product-led company
- Hands-on experience working with APIs — either defining requirements for API products or collaborating closely with engineering on API design and documentation
- Domain experience in one or more of: rewards, gift cards, e-commerce, payments, or fintech
- Demonstrated ability to write clear product requirements and drive them through a development process
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and support teams
- Comfort with both technical conversations and business-level discussions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience across multiple domains within rewards, gift cards, e-commerce, payments, and fintech
- Exposure to CMS, iPaaS, or integration products
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You move between strategic thinking and detailed specification without losing either
- You hold your own in technical discussions — including API-level conversations — while staying focused on user and business outcomes
- You build credibility with engineers and designers through clarity and follow-through, not authority
- You treat customer feedback as signal, not noise, and know how to weight it against other inputs
- You stay calm when priorities shift, and help the teams around you do the same
