About Fluz
Fluz is a rewards-first payments company. We build the virtual card and gift card infrastructure that lets people and businesses earn on spending they were already doing — and we let other companies embed that same infrastructure into their own products through our API. We issue virtual cards, run wallets and virtual bank accounts, and move serious volume every month across consumer, corporate and enterprise programs.
We're a small team that ships fast. We've just reorganized into three GM-led business lines and we're hiring across all of them.
This role sits in Rewards Maximizers — our highest-velocity line. The customers here are numerate and deliberate. They run large, planned volume through our cards and gift card marketplace specifically to maximize what they earn back, often in merchant categories that most card programs aren't built to handle at size, including licensed and regulated verticals. Supporting that spend properly, at scale and inside a clear risk framework, is what this line does.
The role
You own the front of the funnel: everything from a customer never having heard of us through to a signed-up account. Finding the right people, making them want what we've built, and getting them to open an account.
What happens after sign-up belongs to another team, which means you can move fast — but it also means the accounts you bring in have to be real. We would rather have half as many sign-ups that go on to spend than twice as many that never fund. You own the other end too. When an account goes quiet and leaves, it comes back to you for win-back.
These are not casual customers. They're sophisticated, they usually know the economics better than the last few people you sold to, and they will find the ceiling of what our product can do on day one. Many of them are moving six figures a month.
What you'll do
- Work inbound demand from support, referrals, and the rewards and points community, and run outbound into the profiles we know convert.
- Run discovery and demo end to end: card rates, exclusive rates, funding methods, limits, settlement timing.
- Qualify against our current eligibility policy before you promise anything. What we can support is set by program policy and reviewed regularly — quoting outside it costs us far more than the deal is worth.
- Set accurate expectations on where and how a customer's spend will work, so nobody is surprised after sign-up.
- Build and defend exclusive rate proposals inside published pricing bands, and escalate anything outside them before the customer hears a number.
- Hand every sign-up to the activation team with a written brief: expected volume, funding source, target merchants, and every commitment you made.
- Own win-back on churned accounts — understand why they left, and bring back the ones worth bringing back.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of consultative sales in payments, rewards, gift cards, or another highly regulated fintech category.
- Real fluency in credit card rewards economics and how sophisticated customers think about them. You should understand why a customer is structuring their spend the way they are, not just what they're asking you for.
- Comfort with technical detail: card programs, merchant category codes, interchange, and why a given transaction behaves the way it does.
- The discipline to sell inside guardrails, and to treat underwriting and compliance as part of the deal rather than an obstacle to it.
- Clean CRM habits without being chased.
Bonus points
- You've sold into gift card, media buying, travel or corporate purchasing customers
- You've worked under a sponsor bank model and understand how program policy gets set
- You're personally deep in the points and miles world
How you'll be measured
Sign-ups per month is the headline number — but not on its own. We also measure what share of the accounts you bring in go on to become genuinely active, spending customers, because that's the only version of a sign-up that's worth anything. The comp plan reflects both. Plus win-back: accounts recovered, and the spend they come back with.
