About This OpportunityThe Oracle Software Engineer is responsible for producing quality deliverables for a defined project. Technical responsibilities include technical design, development, documentation, debugging and analysis. The position requires good time management skills, attention to detail, good source code maintenance and implementation and adherence to standards and best practices. This individual must be an effective communicator, capable of providing direction and guidance to others, escalating issues and concerns to management, providing root cause analysis and problem resolution. The ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities is a must.
Responsibilities- Requirements elaboration and analysis

- Debugging and maintenance of existing code with limited documentation
- Integral participation in team meetings and collaborative efforts

Consistent time tracking and entry
Status reporting and escalation of issues/concerns - Ensure quality products are delivered:
- Work with the various teams and members to reduce the amount of coding rework, testing rework and defects by ensuring an appropriate timeline and quality the first time around
Qualifications- Overall relevant technical experience 3 to 7 years
- Oracle Applications R12 development
- Oracle Financials (AR, AP, GL, PO, CE, INV)
- Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
- Oracle Workflow
- Oracle Applications APIs
- Oracle Forms development/customization
- Oracle Applications internal table structure
- XML schema design/development, XSL transformations
- BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Not Required, but considered a plus:
- Web services development
- Java (EJB) development
- Consulting experience
- Oracle Applications Framework personalization and extensibility
- XML/BI publisher development
Oracle Applications modules (i-Expense, i-Procurement, or Projects)
Non-technical skills essential for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, is desirable for this position
- Understanding of either application or database performance optimization techniques
- Demonstrated understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Ability to act independently on medium complexity assignments
- Ability to produce quality code on schedule
- Ability to participate in Code Reviews and brainstorming activities
- Ability to identify and solve problems of moderate to high complexity
- Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Willingness to help where needed; to be flexible with work assignments and to understand and assist with the diversity of user requests.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are also required
- Must be prompt, courteous and a good listener
